The Big & Small Of It Show
"The Big and Small of It" art show at The Fly Arts Center celebrates the beauty of scale with artwork that makes a big impact or invites up-close appreciation. Featuring pieces over 24x24 inches and under 6x6 inches, this exhibit explores how size influences our perception of art. Don’t miss the special “Max and Mini” section, where kids create a 6x6 piece that will be reimagined by adult artists in a 20x20 format, offering a delightful look at collaboration and creativity across generations!
A Shelbyville Starry Night
A Shelbyville Starry Night is a free community event celebrating art, creativity, and the beauty of the night sky. Local artists will showcase their own unique interpretations of Van Gogh's iconic Starry Night, each capturing the magic of swirling stars in their own style.
Guests are invited to contribute to a collaborative community art piece, making this a truly interactive experience for all ages. Warm up with a coffee and hot chocolate bar, and take advantage of telescopes provided by volunteers for an up-close look at the stars.
In partnership with the Center for Family Development, A Shelbyville Starry Night promises an evening of art, stargazing, and community connection under a blanket of stars.
Art Underground Show
Art Underground is an immersive art show open to the public, inviting everyone to explore the depths of creativity in a unique underground setting. Held in the basement of The Fly Arts Center, this exhibition features works by local artists, each interpreting the "underground" theme in their own way—whether it's the eerie atmosphere of a basement, the tangled web of roots, or the raw energy of the grunge scene.
The space will be transformed with Christmas lights and alternative lighting, creating a mysterious and captivating ambiance. Light refreshments will be available for guests as they wander through the exhibit and experience art that delves beneath the surface.

BAC Fall Art Crawl
Mark your calendar! On Friday, October 25th, area residents and visitors will gather at the Historic Uptown Shelbyville Square for one of the City’s most dynamic and popular events: BAC Art Crawl This special event coincides with the final Fourth Friday Fest and Car Show of the year, making it a night you won’t want to miss!
The community will come alive as local businesses in the uptown district showcase a variety of talented local and regional artists. Art vendors and their creations will be located inside and outside participating businesses around the square, offering an exciting evening of art, music, and more.
Insider Tip: Avoid parking hassles by utilizing the Public Parking Lot located on S. Main St. The Bedford Arts Collective Art Crawl is best explored on foot once you arrive.
Make it a full evening by grabbing dinner at The Coffee Break, Pope’s Café, or Bocelli Pizza and Pasta Shoppe before or after enjoying the crawl.

Bedford Arts Collective Art Crawl
